Previous community mental health experience or LCP or LMLP license with psychological testing and report writing experience is a plus but not a requirement. The staff therapist (QMHP) position requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in one of the behavioral sciences and license from the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB). A QMHP must be able to obtain an NPI number, must be approved by KMAP for Medicaid billing, and will be credentialed or approved for delivering services through managed care and private insurance. Sumner Mental Health Center has an opening for a Peer Support Worker to support and promote resources to adult consumers in the community. Applicant must be a current or former consumer of mental health services; 21 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED; valid Driver’s License, motor vehicle insurance, and able to pass background checks. This is a part-time position for a self-starter with good communication skills for interacting one-on-one or in a group setting with consumers. Requires sufficient writing skills to document services in an electronic medical record computer program.
