Youth Peer Support Specialist
Sumner Mental Health Center is seeking a person to work as a Youth Peer Support Specialist to provide individual support to youth (from 12-21) under a System of Care Grant and as a Children’s Case Manager to provide face-to-face community psychiatric support services to youth and their families. To qualify as a Youth Peer Support Specialist, there is a requirement to have experience with a mental health challenge or to have received behavioral health services. Bachelor’s degree in psychology or human services related field, computer skills with electronic medical record experience preferred, verbal and written communication and writing skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Preferred candidates will have experience working with youth besides the personal lived experience requirement. Competitive salary and benefits available. Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services (PRI Worker)
Sumner Mental Health Center has an opening for a fulltime employee to provide psychosocial rehabilitation services (PRI Worker) to assist children or youth consumers on a one-on-one basis with interpersonal and daily living skills. Job requirements include at least a high school diploma or GED; good writing and communication skills; documentation in an electronic medical record; time-management skills, and passing a background check. Preference for previous experience working with children or youth.
